The CWJC MENTOR PROGRAM developes mentors to minister to women who enter the Job and Life Skills Training Program. The purpose of a mentor program is to provide each woman with Love that HEALS, that is -- Love that is UNCONDITIONAL, SACRIFICIAL, REVEALING, & ENCOURAGING.
MENTOR OBJECTIVE
To show the mercy and compassion of Jesus Christ through emotional and spiritual support of a mentee.

MENTOR QUALIFICATIONS
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Faithful involvement in a local church
Ability to respect confidentiality
Dependable, stable, and capable of following through with commitments
Ability to communicate with and love the mentee
- Supportive of the purposes of CWJC
MENTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Pursue a loving friendship with mentee -- accept her where she's at
Provide emotional and spiritual support and encouragement
Meet the weekly commitment to visit with or telephone the mentee
Alert Site Coordinator or Mentor Coordinator of serious issues that may require further help
Be the encourager and cheerleader for the mentee while in the Program and job seeking
TIME COMMITMENT
Attend one Mentor Training session
6 months commitment to mentee
Once/week communication with mentee
Meet with mentee at least twice/month
Pray for mentee
